My niece is now gorging on foods at night, to the point of stomach upset and terrible indigestion. She and her mom are telling me that she can't help it; that it is a side-effect of the meds. Here's the list:
Citalopram 60mg. @ HS, Depakote 1500mg @ HS, Benaztropine 20mg BID, Lithium 600mg BID, Naltrexone50mg @ HS, Haldoperidol 5 mg BID, Clozapine300mg @HS, Levothyroxine 0.5mg QD, Inderal BID.
I know the meds cause weight gain and changes in eating habits, but this is not healthy. She weighs 240 lbs and should be decreasing, but at over 4000 calories/day, that won't be happening.
I do fix good meals for her 3x a day, which she takes a couple bites from and scrapes the rest into the trash, and immeadiatly begins eating anything she can find.
