Paracetamol has toxic effects on the liver. Even a small overdose can do damage. However much they've taken they should seek help.

Why do you ask?

In general, taking any drug over it's recommended dosage without the advice of a physician can be harmful to one's health.

If your friend thinks they've taken too many they should seek help from a doctor or local ER.
