I was wondering about success with celexa, and getting rid of the "unreal" feelings. I have generalized anxiety and severe depression and wanted to hear some postives! I need hope! I am 3 days from 4 weeks on this, I was feeling a little better but upped to 30mg from 20mg and feel a little off again. TY

I'm on Celexa (60 mgs) along with a bunch of other stuff & it helped pull me out of a severe depression last summer. I do remember that each time we upped the dose, I felt a little off for a couple of days, although I wouldn't have described it as feeling "unreal". In terms of time lines it took about 8 weeks from when I started taking it to be well enough to be discharged from the hospital and I'd say I was relatively depression free at that point.

Good luck with it.

I've been on Celexa for 3-4 weeks now....started at 10....am now at 20. I feel better already! But I am having alot of side effects....nausea....heartburn....etc.

So I'll stay on 20 prob for another 4-6 weeks....if the side effects don't disappear I will try something else...if they do I will go up again.

I have hope!

I found celexa to be work wonderfully for me. I had been on paxil and was very flat...no moods, no emotions...that just wasn't me. The celexa made me feel normal (I know that's a relative term LOL). I had emotions but didn't overreact....the depression lifted nicely and I was able to think clearly again. I had no side affects with celexa or paxil for that matter.

I hope it works well for you!

Hope? success with celexa(citroprilam)

I personally owe my life to Celexa........... this medicine literally gave me back my life and mental sanity while removing suicidal tendencies.
