Seroquel is known for weight gain, diabetes and other things. read the information sheet you should have gotten from the pharmacy, if you got samples, go to the Seroquel web site and read the "full prescribing information". That will tell you everything that you need to know. My doc tried to put me on it and said NO WAY. I am a freak about side effects. Just research it, that is why the internet is so great!

I don't think it's made me gain a whole lot of weight - not compared to other things I've taken.
It's not helping me lose any either :-(

I like it. Not a lot of side effects anymore. Take it before bed and I sleep really good. Keeps most of the moods & unreality at bay pretty well.

I'm on 300 mg, and I gained 30 lbs in the first month. The drug is awesome for what it's for. BUT I have to take medication to reduce my tryclicerides and blood sugar to fend off diabetes.

Ask your doctor for Ziprasidone!
It doesn't cause weight gain.
