Yes. Meds help me a great deal.
I take a combo of abilify, wellbutrin, lamictal and dexedrine. Without them, I am a wreck.

absolutely - I couldn't believe the effect (positive) meds have had on my life. I currently take Effexor and Celexa and risperidone (an anti-psychotic). But I also do a lot of individual therapy too which has really helped me. But I wouldn't have been able to do the work in therapy without the meds.

yeah - i am taking the lowest dose (5 mg) of lexapro and 75 mg of 5HTP. cuts the anxiety and triggers in half and my lows in depression are not nearly as low (suicidal) as they were. there's no way i could work w/o them.

Yes! They do wonders for me! Tofranil worked great but caused weight gain then paxeva caused weight gain! I'm on sertraline now!
I take sertraline, xanax as needed, klonopin, nadolol, and ambien to sleep! It took some time to get the correct meds that work for me! But they make life livable! Good luck |

I took Zoloft for a long time for my OCD. It worked 'somewhat' for a while, then quit working. My doc told me to get off of it, then go back and try it again. The medicine has run it's course. It doesnt help at all now. Other SSRIs don't help either. I need something else. Just not sure what !!!!! What meds are there out there are NOT SSRI's that may help. Anyone know?

So far, I like it, but I'm still not sure ultimately how effective it will be. I am still in the "ramp up" phase.

Wellbutrin is so damn expensive...even the generic is 80 bucks for 30 days.....screw that

I get the generic wellbutrin (bupropion) and it costs about $2 a month. It is one of the cheapest drugs I have ever taken! Lexapro, on the other hand, costs $75/month on my plan, so I put the nix on that idea. Brian, I wonder why bupropion is so expensive for you--do you have insurance to cover part of it or are you paying full cost?
