As i said in my intro, starting on Zoloft and Klonopin to control GAD and depression. I feel awful. Terrible AM nausea and constant feeling of being startled. If I am awakened by anything loud, phone, dog bark, etc its sets my adrenaline into overdrive and then nausea. Anyone know what I mean? Zoloft has been about 6 days on 25mg, and Klonopin up to .5 at night and .25 in am. For whatever reason, my best feeling time is after about 4 or 5 pm until bed, things just "go away". Losing weight like crazy due to nausea. Any advice or encouragement would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of us experience some of the nausea related side effects of most psychological drugs. It does feel absolutely horrid. Have you told your doctor about this? What I'd suggest, perhaps try Gravol (anti-nauseant), which could help. Generally side effects (like this one anyway) go away after a week or so. Are these your first prescription psych drugs? They definitely take some getting used to. You didn't mention, are you taking the Zoloft at night or when you wake up? If you're taking it first thing in the morning, I'd suggest trying to take it before bed, potentially with a Gravol (if needed) and then you could sleep through a good amount of the nausea. In the mean time, perhaps trying to eat something starchy, or a carbohydrate. Like when you're sick, sometimes gingerale and crackers are good. Beyond that, if the side effects don't get any better a week or so ... phone your doctor. They might not be the best meds for you, or could somehow be interacting in your body (some people are very sensitive to meds, even at low doses). I'm not a doctor, but I did some research that DocJohn (person who created this site) has above under "Drugs" if you need more information.

i suffer from pretty bad nausea as a symptom of my anxiety. i have also had pretty serious weight loss from it from time to time. when it is a real problem i have found that simply listening to my body and eating what ever sounds appetizing when ever i feel like i can to be useful. after a day or two of that i usually get the nausea under control.

I had horrible nausea due to a GI problem and lost over 100 lbs. I couldn't even keep anti-nausea drugs down, or water. And, it was actually my T who suggested I ask my MD about zofran (odansetron) which dissolves under your tongue. It is often used for cancer patients. Anyway, it has helped tremendously. Good Luck!
