Breathe - there has to be a way. Some where in here was a thread about a med card - see if you can check out what that is about. If not, there has to be an advocate or something. Start looking up ppl, talking, seeking reseources. ask the hospital if they have advocates for that sort of thing.... think out side the box...

Check out this website Freemedicinefoundation.com I have never used it but I heard of it and saved it to my favorites just in case. Fortunately my family has prescription coverage however my daughter will graduate from high school next spring unsure if she will attend college. She also takes lamictal-I had no idea it was so expensive. Good luck to you.

also, most manufacturers will let you fill out paperwork and give it to you free or at reduced cost if you qualify.

Just go to the manufacturers website. If your income is low and you don't have insurance they will give it to you for free. It is pretty simple you just fill out an application form. You might have to have your doctor fill out a portion of it and then you mail it in. When I did it a long time ago for seroquel they called and asked me a few verification questions and then they sent the drugs for free.

Yes, I've known several people that have used this approach.

Yes, GlaxoSmithKline has a wonderful program for uninsured called "Bridges to Access". I would check their website and see if you qualify.....Once enrolled, you get your Lamictal mailed to you free for a year.
