I looked it up on my account with Walgreens.com and they have it listed as these two meds having NO interactions whatsoever. This was the highest dose form of Glucosamine Chontroitin and 20 mg. Lexapro. So, perhaps it's just time to up the GC. I know my husband was on it for awhile and it seemed after a certain amount of time it took a higher dose of GC to have the same effects as in the beginning.

Good luck!
Kimberly.

Is the main problem the lack of mobility, or the pain, or both? My problem was both, and the below treatment worked for me.

(I also take Lexapro.) When I had a LOT of trouble with my back and arm, my doc suggested Celebrex. It has been very good for me, especially since I started taking 400 mg a day, the maximum recommended dosage. It has special buffering qualities, which make it easy on the tummy.

I also found that what "they" say is correct --- at least for me --- that taking it regularly is better than waiting for a bad pain attack. Doesn't work so well if you let your pain peak and then take it. So I take it regularly, although it also works if you prefer to take it when needed --- just not as well, in my opinion.

Oh, a word of warning. Celebrex is supposed to be taken with food because, in spite of claims that it doesn't upset your stomach, it may if you are a tummy-sensitive wuss like me.
Celebrex is the only NSAID that I can take --- because the others (without buffering) are heartburn and gnawing stomach pain in a package, for me at least.

About the GC...it's an animal product and I'm a vegetarian. So I wouldn't be taking it anyway. Lexapro vs glucosamine chondroitin

Hope this helps.

Adieu
