Hello,

I've been taking abilify for over a year.
Often times I would find myself being irritable and anxious. It never dawned on me these symtoms may have been caused by the abilify. Apparently they were because after I switched to a different med these symptoms went away.

Just my experience and I wanted to share.

I should add Abilify at the time was the best medication I had been on in years.

I know different meds work differently for each individual so good luck in your quest for what works best for you.

Dennis

Dennis have you noticed any tiredness from the abilify? My sister is taking this with prozac. She was taking abilify and Lexapro but the Lexapro made her too tired and sleepy. It did me the same way. But she is still tired with the prozac combo. Her doc says it usually amps people up. Whats your experience been with it?

My experience was that it did amp me up. A little too much at times.

i tried abilify last year. due to it's chemical properties it would have allowed me to stop 2 meds i was on. after it kicked into my system i couldn't sit still, i couldn't concentrate, i was a mess. this is just my reaction to this drug. i know others benefit by it but it was driving me up the wall. i stopped taking it and the symptoms disappeared.
