Be careful with this advice on the internet , I purchased a bottle of witch hazel and some cotton balls to give it a try has my anxiety was giving me outer arse star fish pain, I soaked cotton ball in the witch hazel and trapped between the star fish. WWWWWWWWWhat the f**k is happening my arse is on fire , jesus what do I do now. I jump in the bath pulsating star fish and read the another forum on witch hazel and piles , DDDDDDDDONT use the one with alcohol in it it never said that on the first web site . I have the jonny cash ring of fire now

Use to have this problem when I was younger. Sorry to be blunt, but, after a BM clean the area completely with a personal/baby wipe. The witch hazel I have seek is only 14% alcohol. It never bothered me. I once had it so bad, that I had to lie in bed with an ice baggie after a BM. I know someone who after cleansing, coats the area with lotion or a bit of vasoline.
