Ok ... cos of my weight gain issue with Citalopram (Celexa) ... I decided to try some thermogenic stuff to hopefully increase my metabolism/decrease my appetite. Yes I'm sick of being fat even if I am happier!
Anyway, I am wondering if they would do anything to my AD ... the bottle doesn't say anything about interactions with anything except not to take them with heart conditions or high blood pressure ... but so many things are not meant to be taken with other things ... these are just 'natural' supplements with citrus, cayenne etc. they do speed up your heart rate etc a bit though like any thermoduric. I had some others once (that serious gymgoers use) that made me a bit loopy ... they worked more like diet pills. i guess these do the same thing in principle?! On the plus side my appetite is decreased (less uncontrolled outbursts of wanting to eat) and hopefully my exercise will be more effective ... Just wondering if anyone knows anything I don't ![]() |

Sorry, I wish I did. I'm struggling with my weight too. Not sure if it's from Celexa, or Seroquel or both. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

mine's definitely from Celexa - I know it's different for everyone, but a close friend also ballooned while on it.
These are working for me (hopefully making exercise more effective, and definitely helping control my chocolate-and-pizza-binge-urges cos my appetite is less). I hope they don't interfere with anything but hey at least I'm not hungry ... OH MY BEST TIP - have you tried protein drinks as part of your diet? i just get the premade ones ... they're totally food that isn't food but are really good for you (often in calcium too if you're a gurl and get the women's ones) ... i find they lessen my cravings for things as well. now did i already say that in this post ... i've been telling someone else about it too lol .... good luck to ya ![]() |

Just because something is "natural" does not mean it is safe. Hell, EVERY molecule is "natural" -- and many are unsafe at any speed.
Rather than grabbing something over the counter and jumping on it, how about talking to your doctor? If your doctor dismisses your concerns, or just tells you to "eat less and exercise more" -- find a decent doctor. (I know, easier said than done.) I get so pissed when doctors do that -- they prescribe these drugs that make us blimp out, and then say it's all our fault! Screw'em. Nutritional counseling might help, or there are meds that can be added to counter the weight gain. Also, before taking any sort of herbal supplement, make sure you can say what's in it -- not just the ingredients, but the chemicals in those ingredients and what they're supposed to be doing for you. Most of those supplements will only reduce the weight of your wallet, by the way, so don't be surprised if that's the result.
