I've been on it for about two months now, I don't own a scale, but I'm pretty sure I've lost between 10 and 20 lbs since I've gotten really thin and my clothes don't fit anymore! It doesn't make me nauseated except for the first day, so I know it's not that. I just don't get very hungry and forget to eat and when I do eat, I get full really fast, like after a few bites and have to force myself to finish any sort of meal and then I get indigestion or my stomach hurts from eating too much (although it's not really that much). I'm also a bit more active, walking and going out and such, so I definitely need more food! Prozac did the same thing to me. Any tips? I'm naturally slim, so this is a bit much.

Hi dearyou, I lost about 8 lbs. after starting it. It was beginning to worry me as well because I didn't need to lose weight. I started eating more and have managed to put the weight back on. I really didn't feel all that great when I lost that weight. I guess everyone is different and how they react to a drug. I wasn't expecting to lose weight though.

I lost a lot of weight, and i was underweight to begin with. It didn't make me feel sick, i just never felt hungry. I think some of it was due to me not having an appetite and becoming less depressed lead to me becoming a lot more active. Each day i make myself eat breakfast and take lunch to work and no matter how busy I am, I take time to eat lunch even if it's 5 min, otherwise it is suddenly late at night and i've forgotten to eat all day.

I’ve been on Sertraline for about 2 and a half months and I can happily say I’ve been losing a lot of weight since I started on the medication! I’m very positive about it because before I was diagnosed with depression, I ate so much and gained a lot of weight, and it was a symptom of my depression. Since I feel balanced now, my brain is more tuned into how I feel (hungry or full) and I don’t get the crazy cravings that I used to get before I was on antidepressants. So I would highly recommend it if someone has issues relating to their weight due to depression, and it’s changed my life!
