I'm so anxious! I'm actually more excited that I get to spend at least a little bit of the day with her. Though she requested no gifts, i still got her a card and small gift( all under $8.00). What's funny is that T's B-day and mine fell on a day in which we had session together. A coincidence? maybe. Has anyone gotten a chance to spend a B-day with their T?

Yes!!

I saw T on his birthday, and brought us both a little cupcake and a candle and he made a wish and blew out the candle. It was fun He said I was the only client who knew it was his birthday, so that made it even better.

Then my birthday was about 6 weeks later and I had therapy on that day. T left me a really sweet birthday message on my phone after I left and said "we got to spend both of our birthdays together!!"

I used to go to therapy on Mondays and Thursdays, and I think his birthday fell on a Thursday and mine fell on a Monday

Have fun with your T tomorrow!

Ugh! I was so mean to T on her birthday

I didn't know it was her birthday and I found out later and I was so disgusted with myself.

Awwwww...(((((((((((mightaswelllive)))))))))))

Maybe that's part of the problem with knowing when T's birthday is...it probably makes us second guess how we act in therapy on that day.

Therapy is hard!!! It sounds like you were having a hard day on that day. And that's okay.

I haven't gotten the chance, and I won't this year either, cause my b-day is on a Sunday. But I think it would be cool!

I think it would be cool as well, though I'd probably be embarrassed, for whatever reason

Actually, it's quite possible since my birthday is on a Wednesday this year. But I doubt it, since my appointments usually fall on tuesdays and thursdays

Just looked at the calendar and T's birthday is 6 weeks to the day before mine...(well, 6 weeks and 9 years lol)...and they both fall on a Wednesday this year. I see him on Tuesdays and Fridays, so I probably won't be seeing him on either of our birthdays. Bummer!

i only found out pdoc's birthday this year... and the way he told me makes me think he'd prefer i didnt know, or didnt acknowledge it or something.

i have seen him on my birthday before, and it has been nothing special either.

i would love it if i could get him a cupcake, but i dont think it'll happen (even if i remembered!).

It sounds like you should get your Pdoc a gorilla for his bday, Deli.

I don't know my T's birthday...but I know she is 60. I don't know what it would be like to have a session on my birthday... I wish she would say...."Happy Birthday! Here's some Zoloft! Have a ROCKIN' MANIA".

My bday landed on Thanksgiving. My one T has a bday exactly 2 weeks before mine and we celebrated together with cupcakes.

I don't know when my T's birthday day, or how old she is, for that matter. I have a good guess, but I don't know for sure.

I don't know for sure, but I think my T is about 30. Which is good, considering my old T was about 60. My old one and I never connected, and I always thought a lot of that had to do with the age difference.

This sounds EXACTLY like me! My guess is she's around 30ish...early 30's at most. And my old T was in his 60's as well, which was EXTREMELY awkward.

I know, it was awkward for me too She basically just sat there, staring at me. It made me so mad. My new T talks as much as I do, and I really respect her

My T will be 39Almost 40 but not quite lol. When I first began to see her, she mentioned that her B-day was in July. I just never knew which date is was until last session. T simply said, " SW I have to tell you something and I'm a bit excited. Do you remember when we shared your B-day together? Well my B-day is next session, so we'll get to share that together too". I was so excited even though I just smiled. The fact that she made a point to bring it up let's me know that a part of her was excited to share her day with me too. I'm her last client of the day

T's gift = A card and a pair of silver earrings. I noticed that she loves silver jewelry She also likes rocks, stones ,fossils, and crystals.

Aww, that's nice Haha, I wish my T would say those things to me Now that I think about it, I don't think mine wears much jewelry. It would be funny if she did, though, because she'd be on one side of the room wearing a skirt and earrings, and I'd be on the other side wearing baggy pants and combat boots

That's EXACTLY how it is my my T and I.

She's never really mentioned her birthday at all...We've talked about mine, but only briefly.

Haha I wish mine would talk about her birthday. I guess it would make me feel more connected to her I see how much I desire her approval, and I'm wondering if I should bring it up tomorrow?
