I don't know where to put this...move it if necessary.

I was just talking to my good friend, who is/was friends with the guy who sexually assaulted me, and he told me some disturbing information. The guy was bragging about how he got me to do all this stuff with him, and he basically spelled out everything that he FORCED me to do! Was it not bad enough that he forced this on me in the first place? Now he has to go and lie to my good friend, saying that I wanted it, and I let him. There is nothing farther from the truth.

I so need T right now...she's the only one who knows about this...

And if he's lied to a good friend, it makes me wonder who else he's told.

Oh my gosh, that is horrible. I'm so sorry.

It's not surprising to me that someone who would sexually assault someone is also someone who would tell a bunch of LIES...I'm sorry he's still hurting you in this way.

For me, one of the worst parts of being raped was the after-effects...the fact that he had so much power over me for so many years after the assault itself was over. It was like he had taken away my power and I was never going to get it back..

BUT, that is the one thing I have really, truly worked through in therapy from beginning to end. It wasn't easy, and it wasn't quick, but it is such a relief that he doesn't have that power over me anymore. It was worth every excruciating minute of work in therapy.

You WILL get there too, angel. Let T help you. I hope you will call her on Monday. Be extra gentle with you, okay?

Thanks for this!

Seems a bit odd, a good friend of yours listening to the whole story of what you were forced to do and then coming back and relaying it to you?

I agree with Melbadaze especially if she is a good friend of yours. If she knows that you were assaulted by this guy, why is she still in contact with him?

all he's done is shown himself up to be a liar in front of your good friend. what a jerk!!! i hope your friend had the good sense to give him a piece of her mind?

i'm really sorry if he has told other people. but, jmo, anyone who talks about stuff like that explicitly isn't the kind of person you want to be hanging around with - so the ppl he tells probably are the type who tolerate those demeaning conversations also, and aren't ppl worth taking notice of.
Thanks for this!

He didn't know what had happened with this guy...I just told him last night for the first time. So he thought it was all consensual, which is how the guy presented it. He didn't say that he forced me into it...he told the story like I consented to what happened. My friend just asked me if I really did all of that stuff. He asked me if it was true, because he knows me extremely well, and he knows I would not get involved with this guy sexually. He's not in contact with this guy anymore...apparently this conversation happened shortly after the assault, and he hasn't had contact with him for some time after that. What he knows now further reinforces his desire to sever all ties with this guy.

The thing is...this guy that did this was a good friend of mine. He wasn't someone I would get involved with sexually, but he was someone that I trusted enough to allow myself to be alone with. And I had been alone with him numerous other times...this is just the one time that he decided to take advantage of me.
