I'm being reviewed by Medicare for SSDI right now, and I need to fill in a bunch of forms about my treatment this year.

2009 Scorecard: Mental Health Professional Treatment

INDIVIDUAL MEETINGS PAST 12 MONTHS
3 Pdocs (MD):
........2 individual treatment ongoing (changed during year).
........1 while in outpatient hospital programs.

5 PhD level psychologists on an individual basis.
........1 ongoing
........1 was for potential ongoing. Didn't do.
........1 was potential individual and also group intake session. Did neither.
........1 was program intake. Went to one session of it. Day Treatment2.
........1 was program intake. Did join group. Depression Group.

1 MA/ABD-level psychologist for ongoing individual.

1 MA-level therapist for outpatient hospital program intake.
........Day Treatment and Partial Hospitalization

GROUP PROGRAMS
Partial hospitalization--2 MA-level, 1 PhD-level therapists.

Day Treatment--2 MA-level therapists + 1 MA fill-in several times.

Day Treatment program2--2 MA-level therapists. Attended 1 day.

Depression Group--PhD-level, from psychologist list above.

That's individual sessions with 10 different T's and pdocs in 12 months.

Group sessions involving 9 different T's.

One person overlaps individual and group therapists, so 18 different mental health pros have seen me in action this year. 3 in groups spent so little time with me that they have no real basis for diagnosing me. 15 do.

Quite a year.

Imapatient...
I think I have had a similar year. I wonder how it will look if I listed it out as you have.
Do you think you benefitted from any of this? I remember you posted how helpful your treatment program was. Are you still doing better?
Here's to a better, calmer, mental-healthier, 2010.

Ktgitrl, I'd be interested in seeing your scorecard. And anyone else's. Let's make it a tradition.

I am doing so much better than 12 months ago, and am doing better than I have in more than 10 years. All worth it.

Crystal, actually it sounds worse than it was. What basically happened was I got a T for the first time in 4 years, switched pdocs, and then enrolled in some group things. The group stuff accounts for a lot of the people seen due to the need for intakes everywhere and the short-term (usu.) nature of dealing with multiple people.

congratulations, impy, i'm impressed.

i have basically seen:
- pdoc
- austin-t
- 2 psychologists at uni, but both for about 20mins each.

oh! and the psych intern who assessed my disability application at the beginning of the year. she freaked out when she saw the number of meds i'd been on and we finished the interview within 10mins, when it was meant to go for 2hrs.

its been a good year for me:

1 phd t (excellent)
1 pdoc (mostly excellent)
1 md (family practice) (mostly excellent)
3 personal trainers
1 orthopedist
1 physical therapist
2 vets (one good, one not so good)

update:
mentally doing much better than i was this time last year which is still 2,000% better than i was the year before that. physically the same as mentally...lost 55 pounds...except for the damaged should thingie which makes me crazy...hence the ortho & pt which was a waste.

personal trainers happened because i joined a gym...good thing...bad thing was they didn't know their arse from their elbows and unfortunately my shoulder is damaged because of it. needless to say i won't be using the 7 remaining sessions left on my balance. each was worse than the previous one.

vets were for demon beast ...1 good vet caught the mistake not so good vet made on misdiagnosis and saved him from surgery he didn't need on his beautiful ears.

so thats my year.

imapatient, that's quite a year. I hope your mental health professionals have more or less stabilized and you have consistent practitioners in your life now.

My own tally is:

1 family therapist (with a family member)
1 therapist (for individual therapy)
1 PNP (for meds and occasional therapy)
I also saw my daughter's therapist a couple of times for consultations.

Stumpy, congrats on the weight loss!
