Today I actually said to my T from my heart I have forgiven my mum. Oh let me tell you how good that feels
 . From my heart I can honestly say I understand that she had issues too, she did wrong, she apologised, she is still in denial to a certain extent but she is 64, not in the greatest of health and I love her, she is my mum . She may have made bad choices in the past, I won't change her funny little ways but I accept her. It's quite emotional really, all that anger has gone, just gone ... I feel like I have a mum again and what a waste of a year when we didn't speak.Also my dad and I are getting along so well, it's the most secure I've felt in so long, maybe secure is not the right word, content, happy because at last my healing is showing lots of positive results. I feel like I have breathed in a breath of fresh air ..... thanks for listening Ophelia

You sound wonderful. I'm so glad you are feeling in a great place with your parents. That forgiveness thing is a tough one but oh so liberating when it comes. Congratulations on your progress.
