Hi,

I am wondering what is normal regarding anniversaries of negative events. Do you think it is normal to have physical symptoms? I am so sad, and my stomach and my head hurt something awful. This is the third day. I'm so confused. I don't see my T for another two weeks.

Yes, I think it's quite normal. When we are reminded of difficult things in our lives, we can have emotional and physical reactions. They are telling us that what happened was, in some way, important to us.

I'm sorry you are not feeling well and you can't see your T quite yet. When I feel that way it often helps me to write or draw and imagine showing it to T. Sometimes I have imaginary conversations with him in my head, lol.

Is there anybody else in your life you can reach out and connect with, even if you don't talk about the anniversary? Sometimes just that contact can ease the pain.

Hi. Yes. When I remember things or have an anniversary of something bad that happened I get headaches and stomaches. I think the body reacts to stress.

Can you do something nice for yourself? Like watch a funny movie or read a kids book. Sometimes I even go and take myself to dinner (pizza) and then go get ice cream. Kind of a way to forget about stuff.

Or since you have a T, maybe you can write a note to your T and put it in an envelope for when T gets back.

Take care.-
