My T has said many times my feelings about myself have to come from me, not from her. She can't always be there to be my cheerleader, not that she said that but that is my interpretation of many things she's said along those lines. I feel so insignificant when she use some technique to help me feel good about myself. I don't need insincerity. And if I could feel good about myself on my own I'd be doing it already.

((((( winterbaby ))))) I am sorry you do not feel genuinely appriciated by your T.
Can you tell her what you just said here? It is true that the self esteem does need to come from within, but it is the job of T to help you find out HOW to see that inside.
