Mars is in retrograde (again). Which pretty much means everyone experiences a lot of $***.

For those who don't believe, don't tell me - I don't want to hear about it. I'm experiencing a lot of $*** too (and THEN i found out about the retrograde. yay).

just remember - as much as this sux - this too shall pass. keep one foot in front of the next - and i'll be trying too...

Looks like 3 weeks...
Here's the full write up (this is from a trusted source, not just some crackerjack stuff from a magazine, just FYI)
And having just read the full thing - I am going to emphasize (for myself, and encourage others) that knowing is half the battle. In fact, so does the author. There are two statements in here that i am saying "Cancle cancle cancle!!!" to. I still have a final to submit and places to be - so I accept ONLY that I will accomplish what I need to when I need to. Just because it is written, doesn't mean i have to accept it It just amazes me how many people are in a bad place right now (bad moods... etc). Then i remembered the article:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
On Saturday, Mercury became retrograde in the sign of Taurus and will stay there through May 11.

During Mercury Retrograde periods, we have problems with communication, computers, electronics and travel. Computers break down, people have miscommunications and arguments, relationships end and cars break down.

Taurus represents issues with hoarseness, bronchitis, foot pain, muscle aches and tics. It also represents stubbornness, so be aware of any stubbornness in yourself and be understanding when you witness it in others during this period.

Mercury is a quick moving planet and is only retrograde for about 3 weeks. During this period, unresolved issues from the past will rear their heads to be dealt with.

It rules our thinking and perception, processing and disseminating information and all means of communication, commerce, education and transportation. It also rules people who work in these areas, especially those who work with their minds or their wits: writers and orators, commentators and critics, gossips and spin doctors, teachers, travelers, tricksters and thieves.

During this period, you may see more personal misunderstandings; flawed, disrupted, or delayed communications, negotiations and trade; glitches and breakdowns with phones, computers, cars, buses, and trains.
Do not make important decisions while Mercury is retrograde, since it is likely that such decisions will be clouded by misinformation, poor communication and careless thinking. Mercury is all about mental clarity and the power of the mind, so when it is retrograde these intellectual characteristics tend to be less sharp than usual, as the critical faculties are dimmed. Make sure you pay attention to the small print on any contracts.

Mercury is the trickster and can make us feel foolish and inadequate if we aren’t able to flow with the energies.

Being aware of this over the next few weeks can prevent some of the problems.

Kiya, that all seems so right on for me right now! I don't do a lot of reading about stars however every time i have heard about things like that they always seem to be true! I do believe in the planets and such, we live around too much water and water has so much power! thanks for the info

My sign is Taurus.
I am very stubbotn.
But couldn't they say *anything* positive about this sign?

I guess it is good to be able to blame the s*** on something external.
Thanks for posting Kiya.

I can actually read birth charts. One thing that I learned in astrology is that difficulties can be overcome. The planets might pull you in one direction or the other but our will can overcome.

Does anyone understand "retrograde" when it applies to our seeing the planets? Or why it happens?

I think that from our vantage point on earth the planet appears to be spinning backwards.

Spinning? Around its own axis? Any examples? Does this spinning change direction?

Yes, around its own axis. As it is going about its orbit around the sun at some points it appears to but does not actually change direction on its axis. This is a really good question. I'm trying to imagine why it would appear to spin the other way. I tried to google it and couldn't really find a good explanation.

I just checked in some of my old astrology books. It appears to go backwards in its orbit, not as I explained previously, spinning backwards on its axis. This is actually easier to understand how you could see this from earth as its going about its orbit.

Heh - I'm stubborn too - we've got horns for a reason, yes? Stubborn simply means that we can overcome and be tenacious! it is a good quality. I'll stick up for your sign.

somehow i feel i have more control over the external things - like i am forceful to saying NO to some of those things... but when it comes to my own moods, not so hot. I can't even have control on good non-mars affected days... you know? so i just go ah ok that explains is and go on. but i see so many posts and people getting so overwhelmed - hang on! 2.5 more weeks!
