I emailed my T over the weekend, saying that I was confused about how we left things because I thought I made it clear that I said I wanted to stay in outpatient therapy and would try really hard, but she was still taking the 'wait and see' attitude and said she would keep my appointment open for me. So I asked her what else I needed to do or say.

This morning she emailed back this:
There is nothing else you need to do or say. I'll see you Thursday, same time, same place.
Do you think a daily email check in would help with accountability? Do you think if you emailed me on a daily basis with progress/struggles, it would be helpful? Let me know. (I am the only one with access to my computer.)

I can't believe she offered to let me check in DAILY by emaill!!!!!
It made me so happy to read that. I think it will be really really helpful.
I still have a big battle ahead of me - if I don't make progress (ie: gain weight) I will have to go into the hospital - even if I just maintain.
But I guess there is a glimmer of hope.
Thanks for this!

Wow, I felt SO relieved reading the e-mail from your T. I love that she offered daily e-mail check-ins...that is so awesome, and sounds like it could be really helpful.

*I* feel really hopeful reading her e-mail and your post. You deserved a break, and I'm so glad you finally got one.

Love and hugs and more love

Thanks for this!

I am glad this offer has you so hopeful! It might be a good solution. You were brave to check to make sure you were still meeting, I know that couldn't have been easy.

darkrunner ... this is very awesome! When I was going through my trauma work, I did the daily check-in with my T. It was a true life-saver. My personal recomendation is to do it!! I hope this will give you that bit extra that will help you show how important you really are to your T.
Thanks for this!

(((((darkrunner))))) I am SO so so happy for you. I am smiling and I feel relieved, too, knowing how huge this is for you. I would feel warm and fuzzy inside of my T offered to let me check in daily via email. That is so great, and I'm so glad your T is sticking with you.

that is so cool. she really cares!!!

and she wants you to stay with her and stay out of the hospital.
you can do it darkrunner!

it's a great suggestion because you could write about all your struggles and she can send you a little note back for you to look at all the time which can help pull you through the day!
