started parnate on wednesday, finally took my first full dose today.
full dose for deli = 1/3 recommended clinical dose.

it's crazy how much of a normal person i feel like again. i was still a mess last night (i get more & more down as the day progresses, usually an energy/inertia thing) but i was up at 8am this morning. had breakfast, have done the dishes, about to put a load of clothes into the machine. it's 9am now. i've accomplished more in this past hour than i have over the course of the week. i know it's still going to be a while before i'm feeling 100%, or even 70%, but that little 'kick' that most people can take for granted has come back, and it feels wonderful and weird and bizarre.

just posting here because a) you guys are better at remembering these things than i am, but at least next time you'll have evidence to bully me back on these meds and b) because impy likes to tell me he told me so, and who am i to deny him this simple pleasure .

pdoc is going to be as pleased as punch. i cant wait to see him on thursday to let him know. even though he knows it works for me, it's always a little bit amazing to see it work this quickly and dramatically. yayayay so happy .
Thanks for this!

Deli, I am so glad you are feeling so much better! It is so great to feel "normal" again and to be able to do things like get out of bed, and do the laundry. Enjoy!

Deli-

I am so glad that you are feeling better. It isn't a bad thing to try and see if some other drug would work as well. Especially if the one you know works has such awful side effects. Don't be hard on yourself. I'm so happy though that after finding out that it didn't work, you are able to go back to what you know works and feel better.

Good job on taking care of yourself.

Hey, if you are feeling peppy I've got several loads of laundry over here...!
I'm really glad to hear that the medication is making a noticeable difference, and I promise to remind you of this in the future, as needed. (OK, if I remember).
Thanks for this!

I wish there was someplace here on PC that we could save important threads (like a folder) so that we could come back and look at them when we were having a hard time. I know that we can always look up the threads we have posted in and started. But if there was somewhere we could keep them then we would have easy access. Now after all of that, if we had such a place, I would suggest you put this thread there.

haha, thanks everyone . i had a really good day - even emailed some potential supervisors, and made dinner AND lunch. talked to housemate. all is good.

googley - that IS a really good idea. i dont like saving things to my PC (including favourites/bookmarks) so a PC folder would be amazing.

So...you want us to remind you if you talk about going off the meds???

In the task line... under thread tools... you can email this page, or show a printable copy ... what I do is both. With the copy, I copy it and paste it into a PM to myself ... in a separate folder.

that's a good solution, JD - thanks!

and not so much a reminder when i'm going off the meds (i always have pdoc's permission for that), but more a request to bully me to go back on when i inevitably do need to go back on .

Deli,

Glad that the meds are helping and you're feeling so much better. I'm really happy for you.

Deli, apologies for beign behiond the times. Having big T issues I'll post about soon.

No, I don't like saying "I told you so." I want what googley suggested, that when you (and it goes for all of us, so "we") post like this that we keep it somewhere to look at in later times when we need good advice on the same issue, and saving it means you can get advice from yourself at some later point. That's all.

But it's great news.
