I am feeling depressed and sad. I usually see my therapist on Thursdays but she is sick and won't be in tomorrow. As soon as I found out I started crying. I tried to get in earlier but I have to wait another whole week to see her. I had something important I wanted to talk to her about, now I have to try and contain all the emotions and stuff until the next time I see her. I wish it didn't bother me so much but it does. I like seeing her. She is practically the only person in my life who I feel I can talk to about stuff besides the group I go to. I know life happens and people get sick including therapists but it still sucks. I feel bad though that she is sick.

Aww, that is so hard. You have a need to see your T, but your T is sick and unable to be there for you when you need it most. UGH.
I find that if I get my feelings out in writing, it tends to help at least unburden those emotions so I don't have to hold onto them for so long. Venting on PC helps me - as well as just crying and being ok with crying and feeling sad about it. I also try to distract myself with activities. Of course, at the end of the day, it just plain hurts and it's an awful feeling. ![]()

I know it is hard when we have to miss a T appointment. I hope she is feeling better and you don't miss anymore appointments.

Hang in there! These are tough times and it's easy to isolate, find something you really enjoy and give yourself a treat and know that, while this week is long, she will be waiting for you next week!

I hate when that happens. My T gets bronchitis a lot, so I've had it happen several times. Just hang in there. It will be OK.

I'm sorry, bouncback. It's SO hard to miss a session. Time does pass, but sometimes it goes so slow. I know that hurt feeling; it's a deep heartache, isn't it? Post here as often as you need to, and try to distract yourself too. Opposite advice, but I find I need to do both--sometimes distract, sometimes just feel the feelings of pain and post or write about them.
