I browsed the other threads, and didn't think I saw any that are replicas of this topic. If I missed one, I apologize.
I'm just... really weirdly interested in this. I love examining different people's idiosyncrasies and how it fits with the rest of their personalities. So, the question is, does your T have any small, unique habits that you find endearing, interesting, annoying?

I'll start.

My T talks to her computer. It's like she doesn't really like the computer, or while she's using it she ruminates on how "dumb" machines are, so she talks down to it or often has this quiet narration going of her computer-actions.

"No... no, don't do that. No... Oh. ...Yes! Do that for me. Open that. Okay, n- yes. Hooray. Okay. Put that over theeeere... Y- Wait, pay for access to the article? No. I want that for free. *childish sigh*" Or, occassionally, when the computer does something particularly complicated that she wants it to do, "Shazam!"

This habit might irritate others, but I find it hilarious and adorable.
She also laughs at the nerdiest (science, philosophy, wordplay) jokes humanly possible.

Anyone else?
Thanks for this!

I went to see my T who I'd seen about 10 years earlier in a new-to-me location but she'd been there a few months apparently. I sat in the nice recliner, searched around and found the foot rest lever in the "pocket" on the side, pulled it and had me a foot rest. She lit up and says, "Oh! So that's how you do it! I didn't think it had a foot rest!"

I was amused because just looking at the chair I knew it was a recliner and had a foot rest from it's "look". So, the chair in jammed into a corner and doesn't recline. In another session, before I sat, I pulled it a little ways out of the corner so it would recline. She apparently liked that too. New concept, giving a reclining chair room to recline

But, a few weeks later she confessed that she had brought it all the way out of the corner, reclined it "completely" (between sessions so she could have a 10 minute nap) and laid down on it and. . . slipped off the slippery leather; she laughed that the darn thing needed seat belts!

It confirmed for me that she was not very technically-oriented and I had a superiority complex going for many years until we discussed it and she got all huffy about how she is in fact very techy. Go figure. And you didn't know how to open your garage door when the garage door opener was broken? (whole nother story)

Well, I don't know if these are "Unique enough", but here we go.

My T pretty much always has his right leg over his left, and bounces his right foot up and down.... up and down.... up and down...

He always wears black leather shoes on Monday and brown ones one Wednesday

Generally, when you look at him, the right side of his mouth is slightly upturned, giving the impression that he is always 2 seconds away from giving you a huge grin, or laughing.

He's a country boy! Every once in a while he'll slip into this deep midwestern twang when he says something. "Well, you miiight be feelin' like crap for a whole heck of a lot longer!"

or he'll throw something at me like, "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in a while!"

I laughed SO HARD at that one.

When mine articulates, it seems like she's smiling (when she is, in fact, NOT... Don't get thrown off by this, she'll get irritated. hehe)

I don't know if these are necessarily unique, but I'll list a few:

-My T winks at me quite a bit, and it's really endearing.
-She is amazingly bad at math, lol. Anytime we have to figure out some insurance/payment stuff, I usually explain, write it down, and show her. She trusts that I've got it right.
-She also tends to ramble sometimes. In fact, I got a recent voicemail from her where she was calling the morning after I had a tough day to check on me, and while she was on the phone, she decided to check her schedule for an appointment time at her other office. As she waited for the computer to load, she rambled on (including a bit of talking about not rambling too long on my voicemail) and it was super cute. She has stepped back a bit lately, to let me speak up and take more charge of our sessions- yay?

The only thing I've ever noticed is he almost always has a paper clip he is fiddling with. He has ADHD and it's something he does to focus. Not a big deal though.

LOL! At least my T truly embraces his non-techiosity - the screwdriver in his office is an objet d'art from MOMA!

My T mutters at her iPad and swears technology hates her. She snorts sometimes when she laughs. She makes a funny face when she thinks really hard.

Hilarious. Starting to think a lot of Ts are technologically impaired, from the comments here.

Once my T's computer froze and she muttered something in exasperation. I looked at her laptop, said, "Well, it is an HP." She glare-smirked at me and defensively shot, "And?"
"Um... Nothing."

Mine too! It's intimidating, isn't it? Sometimes I'll make a joke and her face will just be stone cold. Then later she'll say something, and chuckle to herself, and I'll just be thinking, "Wait, that was a joke? That was not funny. Who is this woman?"

I can't think of any unique habits.. but one thing is she has a nice speaking voice, kind of unusual, with an accent I can't quite place, and the way she says some things is kind of sing-song, particularly if we do hypnosis.. so there are some words I now associate with T for this reason, and she also has a few little stock phrases she'll use! So, if I see/hear these words/phrases elsewhere I find myself parroting them either aloud or in my head in T's voice (affectionately of course!) and if she actually says them now I find myself smiling. (Maybe that's more a unique habit of mine?! )

I posted something and, since I'm newly registered, some of my posts have needed to be approved first. But I just posted on another thread and that one showed up immediately, so now I dunno where my post went...

I believe only the first four posts need to be approved, so the fifth, and sixth (^ this one!) will show up. So, in theory your post will still appear... at some point! I think!

Mine is a head nodder and I do find this irritating sometimes, one day I just know I'm going to say something. And I'm not a fan of the navy tights and black shoe combination I have to say. Bless her.

My T is a tall guy with a slightly deep speaking voice but when he is in a playful mood, the pitch of his voice gets higher...when he reaches laughter, he sounds like a girl

He lost a lot of weight over the years and truly transformed his health...but sometimes he wears an old suit or blazer that is clearly too big for him. He looks like a little boy in a tweed blazer.

A charming habit I miss from when I used to see him more often in person, I felt like he dressed for my sessions (I could be imagining this, wishful thinking?) Mostly tie choices--as you may gather from avatar and screen name, I am a fan of cats/Big Cats and he always seemed to be wearing the lion-head repeat tie on the days we met. Sometimes he made design-savy color choices in clothes the days we met too, when I know most of his wardrobe is very much comprised of professorial tweedy things.

The one I see had a thing about needing to walk me to the door as I leave - I have mostly gotten her to stop doing it. First it meant she got close to me in my space as I was leaving and second the door was only like 5 ft away so I was not going to get lost trying to find it.
She thinks of it as polite and I think of it as menacing.

The Shoe details. That is awesome. I mean the fact you noticed something like that! XD I wonder why he would wear certain shoes on certain days. LOL

My T, if we start talking about types of therapy and other stuff, he gets on this kinda nerd-out and starts talking to me about them, kinda makes me feel like I'm in class or something.
