I feel like I'm healing. I just started seeing this new therapist about a month ago, and it has been SUCH a GOOD THING for me! She is an amazing person---always helps me to focus on the positive side of everything--it's amazing.

She is also really encouraging me to read more about family issues and dysfunctional families. I am uncovering layers from my past, my childhood, and the present relationships I have with both of my parents. It's crazy how those family issues are so prominent in our psyche...and how they deeply affect who I am. I want to heal the relationship I have with my dad, or at least make my side of it healthy...I want to understand him better and figure out why he verbally abused me like he did. I don't want to have all of this anger and rage towards my parents...I want to forgive them.

It's hard, but it's worth it all at the same time. That's why right now, having my safe distance and these books in front of me to dive into seems like the perfect solution. Maybe the books will help me understand things a little better.

Thank Goodness for T's.
Thanks for this!
