I got a new screen name. It was so bugging me that I was using Eileen...driving me crazy. The mods were KIND enough to change it for me.

Do you like it? Do you get it or do you need an explanation?

I think giving an explanation would be good. Do you know why you chose this particular name? Do you think you want to keep it long term?

It's a little intimidating for some reason, but I'm glad I know who you are. That makes it okay. More comfortable I guess.

On first seeing your new name, I have to say that I thought you were taking the piss (sorry for the pun) and being downright rude but on doing some research I do believe it is infact slang for 'very awesome!'

I got it! I think I understand why you chose it; it is a strong name. And you are strong....It shows your humor, too!

Such words were virtually forbidden in my family, so they have an impact on me even now. It takes effort to get around that.

intimidatings...scary...put off..

Not exactly what I wanted, but it's ok...if it sounds a little bada_s, I kinda wanted that.

In and around Southern Boston it is a term used quite frequently. I like it because it has a double meaning. The proper accent free way to say it is Wicker Pisser. The standard meaning is awesome ... Like when your friend gets a new car and it's all beautiful and every thing, you say loud and emphatically...Wiked Pissah!. If that same car gets into a bad wreck and is totaled you sigh, shake your head and say "wikid pissah man, wicked pissah" kind of like "sorry dude".

Sometimes bad things can be good...that's all I was trying to say.

When I first saw it I thought it was a man's name (because men take so much pride in peeingon things). Now that I know that it's you I like it.

Well, to be honest, even though you explained it, I felt more comfortable with "Eileen". Your new name turns me off a little, but YOU are the one who needs to be happy with it, not us!

Often I wonder how people get their "names". I started a thread about that on another board, but it would probably get moved from this forum. Some names I'm really curious about, but I suppose that's one reason for PM's!
