No, I'm not taking a break. I have had breaks between therapists, but none of the therapists or therapies were meaningful like the one I'm in now. So, while I have quit therapy and have had breaks, it wasn't at all the same as what you are doing now - taking a break from a great T and a great therapy! I can't imagine what it is like to take a break and still know that T is there and I can/will go back. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It FEELS pretty cold turkey, because I really am used to a LOT of contact with T...twice a week sessions, plus leaving a voice message or sending an e-mail a few times a week. When it got scary, I realized I could just call T and talk to him about whether I should come back, and I guess that's when I found out he's still there ![]() Anyhow, I guess I'm finding out that it's not as black and white as I thought it would be. It doesn't have to be "no contact" or "once a week contact"...I think it can just flow however it needs to. I wonder how many times I will have to learn the "it's not black and white" lesson? Apparently a lot ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
