I called many Psychiatrists but none of them will see me unless I am also in therapy.
I don't want therapy. Can someone tell me if it's possible to find Psychiatrists who will see patients without requiring them to go to therapy? |

Yes there are psychiatrists who will see you without requiring you to be in therapy. When I first saw my psychiatrist, we talked a lot about what was going on with me and he prescribed some medication. He suggested that I start seeing a therapist but the decision was entirely up to me. Do you think you need to be on medication? Have you called ALL of the psychiatrists in your area? Maybe you can just tell them that you're not interested in therapy at the moment because of you're bad experience and he or she will still see you to help get you stabilized on meds for now.

Going to your GP would be a good place to start. to discuss your options.

You may ask about the therapy requirement. I recieved services in a community mental health center that did require therapy, but that meant just seeing one every 3 months. If it is something like that, maybe that would work for you.
