I feel like I'm running in place. I'm stuck, hopeless, lonely, angry and can't fit all the pieces of the puzzle together. I told T all this in session Friday and she validated that times like this are normal in treatment and it's okay to feel all these things. That's nice and all, but still , I'm frustrated with being left with all this baggage week in week out. T session was 2 days ago and I already want to talk to her. I hate this. I hate it all. I'm miserable at home. I'm miserable at work. I'm sick of it.

((huge hugs)), so many of us understand this pain, this frustration and this desperation to talk to our T and having to wait for the next session, it is so hard to carry so much with T only being there for maybe one or two hours per week.

When is your next session?

Hey Tryin,

I can totally understand the running in place. Almost like you cannot function again till you talk to T but it is so far away. My T asked me to come in 2x a week to help with that. And let me tell you what it does. I see her Mondays and Fridays. So I never have to sit too long with thoughts, I am able to put the pieces together much easier.

Something that helps me is writing a letter to my T about the sessions. I don't usually give them to her, but it helps me to write like I am talking to her, it is a way to get it out. One day I wrote a 4 page letter!!! It also helps me to form what I want to talk about in next session, and sort through my thoughts and feelings about therapy.

Is it possible for you to go 2x a week until things "calm" down? I promise you things will get easier.
Until then you can keep venting to us, we will help you get through the week.

Thank you so much for the support. Diz, my next session is not until next Friday.
Itsmeshorti, her schedule is very full. She needs a whole weeks notice just to move an appointment time. I can call her and text her between sessions if I need to, but I just want to wait this out a couple days first. Thank you all for the encouraging words. I feel very supported here on PC.

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. It's good that you're still able to get out of bed and keep us updated about how you're doing. feel better
