Generally, once a week. But if I'm not doing well I see him more often. On occasion we space them about a couple of weeks, but he generally likes to see me every week.

After my first session she said she would like to see me once a week. But with the followign week being the 4th of July, I had to wait 2 weeks. But, I think it is going to be once a week.

I see her once a week, except i don't see her the first week of the month because of money issues. So I guess I should have voted "other" but I voted once a week.

I voted "other" for every 3-4 weeks. Although the last little while we have switched to every 1-2 weeks because we are doing some hard work that needed greater continuity. But I think of 3-4 weeks as my typical right now. I used to be once a week, then every other week. It has lengthened with time and less need.

Twice a week, usually on Mondays and Fridays. It works well for me. I used to wish I could see him three times a week when it was hard to maintain the connection but there were a few times when he had to schedule me on Monday and Wednesday, or Wednesday and Friday, and I realized that having just one day between sessions didn't give me enough time to recover and feel ready for the next session. I still prefer that over having only one session during weeks when he has a day or two off, but I wouldn't want M/W or W/F to be my regular schedule.

Conversation with my therapist:

Doc: "You know, for the past few weeks you've seemed very disconnected from your emotions when you're here."
Me: "I'm not disconnected from my emotions. I just don't feel anything when I'm here."
(Pause)
Me: "Doc, why are you banging your head against the arm of your chair?"
Doc: "Because I'm not close enough to a wall."

It's official. I can even make therapists crazy.

It could be individual (that your T thinks you really need the weekly therapy at this time in your life), or a general philosophy of your T. My daughter's T likes all her clients to come weekly. She doesn't like it when my daughter doesn't stick to her preferred method of doing therapy. My daughter likes to vary the interval of therapy depending on her need. So they have a bit of an ongoing "battle" on this.

Too many other things going on, and he was a CBT person

Twice a week, and I'd love to go 3-4 times a week if scheduling and $$ allowed it. My T prefers people come once a week unless they are transitioning out of therapy or on a "maintenance" schedule (once a month or so for checking in) as she doesn't believe the benefit of doing the work is as great coming less than once a week.

Once a week for 50 minutes. Every once in a blue moon, I ask for an additional appointment during the week, but I haven't done that since March. Depending on my need from week to week, I would like to go twice, but....I don't think she is a fan of it.

I saw him twice a week forever, but have been seeing him once a week for a couple of months now. I used to see him for a 90 min session and a 50 min session each week, now we just do the 90 mins.

I actually like seeing him once a week. It gives me time to recover and just "be" in between sessions. I needed twice a week for a long time to hang onto the connection...now I know he's still there, and it's such a relief.

Once a week... I would like more sometimes but my T isn't really into doing more than 1 a week unless it was an emergancy and she actually kind of removed the option of an extra session when needed (even though in the space of a year i had only had 2 extra sessions). I am not sure if this is still the case.

I would love twice a week but since i pay out of pocket it would probably cost too much even if she did allow it.

Usually once every 4 weeks or so, but more often if I need it. We're sort of in a maintenance phase at the moment. There was a time when we met every week, sometimes more than that.

Go back and forth between every week or every other. I picked every other in the poll.
