I'm officially done with therapy. Not like therapy, but this therapist. I quit (the past tense.. I already quit). Its scary to quit with still so far to go, but I'd rather travel alone right now.

I'm sorry, lyib. But sometimes that's the best decision. After a break, maybe you'll decide to look for another T? Wishing you the best, but I hope you don't stop posting! I reread your recent thread with the dialogue you had with your T about depression and therapy. Well, I think you can find a much better T than the one you had. I hope you don't give up!!

I'm gonna stick my head on the chopping block and say CONGRATS. There's a lot of us coming to our senses this week.

I think you made a good decision based on what you've been telling us for these past few weeks. I hope you look for a good T because I know they exist. I have one.
Thanks for this!

Thanks! I'm really picky, but I have to go with my gut. It's not even the expense or the opening up or anything. I am just so lost in my life right now that I feel ready to glom onto any person who gives me the slightest advice or direction. It sucks to be so hungry for that but at the same time know that it's NOT about you and with a flick of a wrist the people helping you make life choices could just say "ok bye." Therapy is a completely stupid process for me. I am so glad so many of you can benefit from it but it just makes me feel more alone!!!!!!!

aaah, that's so sad LYIB. Listen - please have hope. Just because things have been going badly does not mean they have to continue that way. I mean, every pendulum comes back down and then up, doesn't it? Hang in there.
Thanks for this!

sorry lyib

I'm glad you were thinking of trying another therapist in your op

"It sucks to be so hungry for that but at the same time know that it's NOT about you and with a flick of a wrist the people helping you make life choices could just say "ok bye."...maybe if we find a good one there's a little more reliability to count on
Thanks for this!

Bllllaaaaah ok. No more. I'm done. This woman isn't worth it.
She reminds me of this: http://www.lstudio.com/web-therapy/a...me-1-of-3.html Same intonation and everything..

Yeah screw it!!! I'm going out this weekend... going to spend time with friends... I'm just going to embrace it, right? Like living life... no more living therapy.... I think I remember how to do that... (????)
