With all this crazy-making T-taking vacations while us clients attempt to hold ourselves together with duct tape and rubberbands, I thought a fun poll may be in order!
Thanks for this!

I couldn't vote because there wasn't a choice that said my t is very hardworking, deserves some time off, and I hope he really enjoys himself.

Everybody was so reasonable with their vote. I said 'Never'. I'm joking, of course. Everybody needs vacations but my emotional brain doesn't want to let her go.
Thanks for this!

That was hard to answer. Feeling wise I wanted to put the first answer; but logically I had to go for the last (with the unwritten added "provided T emails while away" so I don't worry about them)

I've actually got a different answer "Only allowed to go on vacation when it coincides exactly with my vacation." That way we're both on vacation at the same time!

You guys are so fun. Yeah, this poll was for the emotional mind. I thought that was implied - hee hee. We all know our Ts deserve the vacation, but the emotional mind sometimes can hate them leaving :-)

Just a note to everyone, in line with T Vacation Season, duct tape & rubberbands are on special at The Therapy Client Accessory Store. Sale ends in September

My T usually takes 2 vacations a year, each for 2 weeks. I always schedule for as soon as she's back.
i always know in advance ehen she'll be away and she always has a backup - this month was the first time in 8 years that I've needed her back up and he was great.
i think if they didn't go on vacation their heads would explode!
Thanks for this!

My appt is today and then my t is gone for 2 weeks. It is always hard for me when she goes. I've gotten used to her being gone a week and having to miss 1 session -- but 2 weeks is too long -- and so is multiple weeks (7 weeks off in 7 months).
Thanks for this!

My T went away in spring but uh, oh, she loves to travel and I'm afraid to ask if she's taking off this summer. She hasn't told me yet and now I'm scared! She went away in winter too, so maybe she won't go anywhere until then. I wish!

My T takes vacation every year in the exact same time.
First week in July and then between Xmas and New Year, plus he trains new T so every few months he takes off for 2 days (Monday and Tuesday). But still everybody gets their session.
I like it that way. Doesn't really fit in your poll though.
Thanks for this!

I'm going on vacation next week and will be gone for 2 weeks. Turns out my T will be on vacation the last part of my second week...

IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE AS ME!!!

(And it's a really small town!)

My T is still away and I see her next Monday. I see her more than once a week so it's always good when she tells me in advance.
Thanks for this!
