Wow, that's really awful. How long had you been in this group? And are there any members of his/her supervisory team available to help you guys cope?
Just out of curiosity, how did you find out? I would think they would've told you something like, "He decided to take an offer elsewhere ... blah blah blah."

He did it in a very public way..it was all over the news.
yes, counselors have been brought in to help ps. i haven't been in the group for about 2 years |

Wow that is so sad and shocking.
How utterly sad that this T was in such a bad place that they did this and were unable to reach out. Glad that extra help is being offered - Hope you are Ok - SD

Hey Tay,
I am so sorry to hear this, it must be awful for anyone who know the T personally and as a client. It is so sad that they felt it was the only way out of the way they were feeling or what they were experiencing. I can only imagine what the Clients of this T are going through. How long were you in the DBT group for? How are you feeling since hearing about the death of the T? Massive hugs!

I know very little about your own background, Tay, but I remember your recent post in Poetgirl's thread and this must be devastating for you even though you haven't been in group for a couple of years.
Please take good care of yourself and get extra support when you need it.

Thanks so much for the support. I wish i could give more details but i am afraid of being recognized on here. I am doing okay, just feeling really shocked and sad. I knew him for 7 years, had him for several different groups, only one of which was DBT. He was well loved by many, and helped countless people move forward in their own lives, including me.
