tried.

stock market still down, middle east still on fire and europe still crazy.

and most my family still would not accept if I brought home a foreigner or a girl. or a foreign girl.

Oh, you're absolutely right about that. We can recognize that a situation is bad and causes suffering but we can lessen our own suffering by improving our attitudes. It has been shown that people in concentration camps improved their odds of survival by their ability to maintain a hopeful attitude. How one could remain hopeful in such a terrible situation I have no idea but I believe it's possible. Also, with clear thinking and a healthy attitude, like an abusive husband or something, we can more easily choose a way to change our circumstances and protect ourselves. idk - I keep visualizing Buddhist monks or nuns who can maintain equilibrium no matter what the circumstances.
