Because he said that he still hasn't recieved the refferal that my pdoc said she mailed out to him on the 21st of December so he had to cancel today's appointment. Maybe things were slow in the mail with that I don't know. I'm hoping he either gets it soon or I will have to keep on top of my pdoc and the people at her office that take care of that stuff. This is very stressful for me emotionally knowing what a miserable Bi*&% I have for a pdoc in the first place which is why I'll be looking for another one in the not too distant future. I think it would've been alot faster if they had faxed it over to him but they had to send it by mail. It figures.

Aw sorry to hear this. I can't believe they didn't fax this over, even right today! Why did they have to send it by snail mail? I've had doctors fax referrals for my mom. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I've received mail even mailed the 28th of December. Maybe you need to go by the pdoc's and get a copy to hand carry?

I concur. Request a hand copy and carry it over. I have never dealt with a pdoc. But, I know that my dentist has done it with my teeth x-rays. He just handed me a copy and told me to take to the referral when I go. (I chickened out and never went. Bad me.) Still havent seen new therapist

Ok, well this is what happened.
My husband figured out that he probably did get the refferal but because it was under my legal last name , he probably thought it was someone else. I was correct and he called me back to tell me. He also asked me to check the last name on my insurance card to let him know what name I'm under there so I did by his answering machine. He did mention that on the fax that he recieved, it was listed for a psychological evaluation. I was like WTF??? Anyway, I'm still awaiting his call to see if there are more complications...

Well, the psych eval thing might not actually be a problem. That might be what the doc had to put to get treatment started. After a psych eval, the therapist recommends a course of therapy and then you get started. (I know it doesn't make much sense, but we're dealing with insurance companies here.)
