I told T about those thoughts we probably had a 20 minute conversation on the things I should be doing(mindfulness and other stuff Im learning). I told her I had been writing poetry and she thought it would be good if I brought some in. Aaaaahhhhhh!!!! I dont know that I am ready for that??? But why wouldnt I share them if there is nothing to hide? Maybe it will be insight I dont verbalize well? What if she thinks they are terrible? Ugh!!!! im so tough on my writing that I cant stand anyone else reading it...why did she suggest this? Sorry kinda panicking...not sure I can handle this idea. God I sound so lame!

Melissa you ask >> Maybe it will be insight I dont verbalize well?
but poetry is verbalization beyond normal expression. Maybe yr T is interested to see your unique view, the poet's eye view, like no one else's. ![]() anyway you don't HAVE to share them; share if / when you want to (or not at all). T's interest is not a mandate. as the saying goes, "it's your therapy"! |

I actually have been thinking about a poem I wrote that has been on my mind since I posted the thread. It is about fear. It is ringing so true right now.

I used my poetry to help myself, was part of "poetry therapy" when it first was the rage back in the early 1970's.
