I would never touch any of the t's stuff in her office. If the clock on the table is shifted at an angle so I cannot see it - I just use my watch.

Therapy feels like it's always on my mind... I have DID so with an inner system, there is always something going on that should be on my "to do" list with therapy. But I really spend time thinking about it on my drive there of what I really NEED to talk about or NOT talk about that day.

T has two clocks. One behind me for her, one between us for patients. It is important to me that I can see my clock and that it matches hers.

I may be a bit more formal with the one I see than you are. To me to arrange the clock would be a breach. But I am willing to believe my watch is just as accurate as her clock. Perhaps I should syncronize with her clock just in case.

Unless there is something important that I need to talk about, I usually don't prepare to see my T. Right now we're still going over homework he gave me so there isn't much to prepare for. I'm sure it'll change later on, though.

I feel like there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about T and our next session in some way...something will happen and I will think that I want to tell T about that for sure! A lot of times though I end up talking about completely different things! I find it goes so much better when I do go in with an agenda

If I'm not obsessing over something that happened in the last session, then I either think about what I want to talk about on the 1/2 hour drive there or if I haven't got a clue where to start, I'll ask where we left off the last session because inevitably it feels like we were just getting into something when the session ended. Or sometimes I'll read a self-help book in the waiting room just before. That inevitably stirs stuff up. And I have an uncanny ability to pick up books that are highly relevant to the work I'm doing in therapy at that time.

I prepare for the next session as soon as I leave my current session.
