so my t is always recommending books and i enjoy reading i been in therapy for a yr diagnosed ptsd borderline antisocial major depression and gen anxiety no fun here

anyway i just start touching the subject of childhood trauma which i tell you i would rather bungee jump into a pile of garbage lol the books she has recommended so far are\

1. healing the child within
2.it could never happen to me
3.codependent no more
4.i hate u dont leave me

the problem is these books have example cases of child trauma and usually i skip those pages

the one she told me to read and see what i identify with is i hate u dont leave me, its a very good intense book but omg too many examples of child trauma so i read it because i have to discuss it on wed, but i am going to tell her to recommend something like harry potter they were all borderline in my oppinion dysfunctional wizards and lots of magical thinking and irrational thoughts lol lol lol she will probably get a kick out of that

I find taste in books is very varied. A recommendation from someone with different tastes is largely worthless. And I've yet to find someone with the same tastes. In the world of books, I am on my own.

i can say that these books are not easy to read one because of my lack of concentration and the other because it has too many childhood trauma examples maybe that is why she tells me to read it idk
