I know I just posted an intro so sorry for bombarding you all
But I have an old therapist that I could call to help me and possibly even see again... but I don't know whether to and I get so scared phoning people like that....
I don't know what to do because I don't know what to say when calling... she's not a therapist for mental health issues but for issues caused by medical problems, but is the one who referred me for an assessment initially and knows more about me than anyone else..

The biggest issue is that I had an assessment and was told there were no MI, but then a few weeks later I saw someone else from the same place and was told that they did in fact think I had depression and anxiety. (but now I am questioning this appointment and don't know whether it happened like I remember or at all as no one has contacted me for follow up, and surely they would if there was a diagnosis??) This is in the public health system so I can't choose my own appts or anything.

Anyway I contacted my first therapist to ask if she had heard about the assessment and told her what we were told at the assessment, and that I had had no treatment or help (I thought she could confirm or deny what I was remembering) and she hadn't heard anything but said I could ring her to talk more.. I haven't yet because I'm scared and also wanted to wait till the appt today to see whether anything was mentioned but it wasn't, she didn't even ask me how i was..

So wondering if anyone has any advice about ringing her? or can relate to what I'm remembering about the appointment thats confusing me?

I haven't told my parents about what happened at that second appointment because I'm scared of how they'll react and now they still think I'm fine and I'm not sure what happened (I think its probably anxiety making me question it, but what if its not??) I don't want them to think I'm crazy

Sorry for the huge message

Sorry, I've been wrapped up inside my own head all afternoon and didn't see your message. If she said you can call, then definitely CALL. Clear up the confusion and give yourself one less thing to worry about.

I agree with MKAC; your T gave you permission to call her. If you need to talk to her, call her. If calling was a bother to her, she wouldn't have offered.

Thanks for the replies
Do you have any ideas for conversation starters if I call her? (if that even makes sense)
I just don't know what to say because I finished with her when i was referred so feel stupid about ringing her, and I just don't know what to say... scared of an awkward silence or something but I'd hope she'd make conversation in that instance
