WOW - all i can say to this one. Just wanted to share.
Me and my T have been exploring why whenever i get to breaking point i dissociate and end up on the beach/in the sea. We finally got somewhere with it. I had a horrible experience of being pushing into the sea in winter and can't understand why or how i survived and my T thinks when i dissociate my brain is trying to find out how i survived. It made a bit of sense really and i'm well pleased we figured it out so we can start working on this.

That is a neat new insight/understanding. Keep us informed how it works out. Maybe you should carry a bag of sand around with you, start playing with it when you start getting anxious/to the breaking point so you can tell yourself you "get it" and don't have to go down to the beach.
