And I just want to put it out there.. I told my husband as well. First off, I have decided that I will go on meds, I don' tknow how long it will take me to get into see the Dr that T is referring me to, but I am to the point where I just need to take the leap and trust that it will be better for me than my current mental state.

Second.. I am in need of some oral surgery.. b/c of the anxiety I have avoided for two years. It NEEDS to be done. So, I decided that with the mixture of meds, and still continuing thearpy I will be scheduling the surgery for April. I choose April, b/c for one that is when I will have somebody avaible to watch my kids for a day or two while I am recovering. But, also b/c I want to make it a goal in thearpy to mentally prepare myself for that surgery and I think that might take sometime.

These may not seem like a big deal, but its major for me.. and maybe typing it all up with help me be a little more accountable for my plans!

Sounds like a well thought out plan - especially setting up support to help you.

I certainly know how scary it is to be without a plan, and how comforting it is to have one.

Good for you! I too function better with a plan.

And going on antidepressants was one of THE best decisions I ever made. No exaggeration. I wish I had done it sooner. I really hope they help you too.

Ever consider being "put under" for oral surgery? I know that they sometimes offer to lightly knock you out but I'd go for full unconsciousness.

I say it out of empathy--I have never been able to go through a full GYN checkup without breaking down. My last Dr. suggested I get admitted to the hospital and "put under" for my exam because the anxiety is so extreme.

A plan is a great start, but be aware of what you need to get through it!

You are showing such strength by taking control of your own health in this way. I know it will be scary, but this is such an independent step!

A plan is the first step, telling someone else is the first step to making the plan happen. Great work!!
