Ok so not only did my pdoc give me an appointment on Thurs, when I called in a crisis on Wed., he was awesome in the appointment and came up with all kinds of great strategies for keeping me safe while I get through this crisis and out of the hospital, including saying I could call him every day if I wanted and he'd call me back before the end of the day.

Then today when i got home from rehab, there was a message waiting from him just saying he was checking on me to see how I was doing, and if I was safe for tonight. He asked me to call him back and leave him a voice mail since he was leaving for the day but he would pick up his messages.

How awesome is that?

Super awsome, you are very lucky to have such a caring pdoc!
I haven't found one yet with a caring manner, all are just very clinical.

You are so lucky to have such an awesome pdoc. My T is like that, but my pdoc wavers from warm and caring to cold and condescending. I'd like to get someone else, but I'm in a practice, and the only other pdoc once told me that I was ridiculous for feeling suicidal - not much choice, huh?
Treasure him!
