Hey all, I want your opinions on what I should do in this situation. I am in a partial day program at a nearby hospital. Yesterday the social worker who runs adult partial pissed me off while my anxiety was high and still amping up. I got really angry and I cant remember if I made threats but if I did I need to man up and apologize and find better ways to manage it. Do I ask him if I threatened him or let itgo unless he brings it up?
Im already really disappointed in myself and am beating myself up for what I do know of how I handled it. |

Apologizing is ok if you think you were unfair to someone. If you think you are just beating up on yourself, you can let it go too.

I'd try to grab a moment with him, Melissa, and try to check things out. Sometimes, I know that I think I've been terribly inpolite and inappropriate with someone, but when I check things out, I realize that I've totally blown things out of proportion. Just take a moment to check your preception of things with the individual and get some closure. If you need to apologize, no big deal! We all get out of sorts and irritated in real life. It's about realizing that and making amends when we need to that matters! Good luck and I hope things work out.

Hi Melisassad - sorry you had a tough session on the programme.
But I think you should check out with the person whether they perceived you to be threatening. I think asking for feedback helps us to learn about ourself and I hopefully that is what the programme you are on is for. Soup

I have to agree with what has been said - it can't hurt to discuss it with him. If it did happen you can apologise and work through it and if it didn't you at least don't have to worry that it might have.
