I dont know if I really :"got" what it meant but it made me feel safe about my therapist...like shell always be there even when i feel totally alone.

This one is called "Trust"

Therapy cartoon :D

I got it from this site: http://talesoftherapy.wordpress.com/...rapy-tales-62/
Oh and heres another cartoon I think lots (definitely including myself) might relate to: http://talesoftherapy.files.wordpres...web1.png?w=530

I got anxious at the part where the scene went dark and then the next where the person was sitting in the dark but could not see the other person. I don't like the therapist to be where I cannot see her and know that she is far enough from me and what she is doing. I realize that is not the point of the cartoon, but it is the part that I got stuck on. Kind of gives me the creeps to think about being in the dark with one of them.

This cartoon made me laugh. Thanks shoez. This is exactly how this question always goes down when I ask him if he's still there.

Nice, Shoez!

Stopdog, what you mentioned is the point of the cartoon. It is titled "trust" and you don't have that.

The point of cartoon as I read it was trusting they were there for/with you. I don't worry about that. I don't even know if I want that. i was sort of poking fun at myself while being really creeped out by the idea of being with one of them (or god forbid, a gaggle of them)in the dark.

I've been meaning to post this but kept forgetting!! I read all of them. I read a few and didn't know if I "got" it but once I started going in order (not that there's a story line) I couldn't stop

thanks for reminding me of that one, I can really relate to it. Sometimes I send my T emails just to make sure she's 'still there'

I don't think I have a favourite 'therapy tales' - so many of them are so simple yet spot on. It's nice to take a lighthearted look at the process, they feel kind of like 'in-jokes'...

Stopdog: 'gaggle of therapists' - LOL, the collective fits, I suppose, if there was ever a situation where a bunch of them got together in one place... Don't have nightmares!
Thanks for this!

Au contraire, ma cherie! That is precisely the point of the cartoon.

I still think the point was to be reassured by their presence even if you can't see them, not horrified at the idea of it. But however one reads it is good with me.

I used to love Go Fish cartoon about a therapist.

My favorite therapy AND work comic...my boss gave it to me last year. He said he wouldn't take me THIS far out of my comfort zone...but I'm starting to wonder!! I told T about it and she loved it.

Thanks for sharing this. I love those cartoons.

Interesting that I read this about 5 minutes after I texted T to make sure she was still "there" She texted back that she is still alive and kicking!

The intent of my boss was a bit more homicidal...kicking me out of the bowl.

Sorry if it triggers anyone. Not my intention.
