My son witnessed me being verbally and emotionally abused at the hands of my mother and his father. In my recent admission to rehab a specific therapy was mentioned that would be appropriate for him but I forgot what it was. Does anyone here or the moderator have an idea? Thanks!

I can't think of an individual therapy for a child:

I would call the rehab place/therapist or whoever suggested the therapy and ask them?

How old?
There's TFCBT - Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Filial Therapy - Child directed, play therapy with child involvement
Play Therapy
PCIT - Parent Child Interaction Therapy (building a bond, and teaching appropriate discipline)

It would be best to go back to the original source.

Ask: "Could you put that recommendation in writing so I can discuss it with my therapist?"
