This is kind of a continuation from my last thread where I left my session feeling frustrated with T and also myself. I said I was going to email her since I didn't really say much during the session. That was almost four days ago. I just can't work up the courage to email her. What do I say? What do I put as the subject?

Could some of you maybe give examples of how you have titled your emails and what you said? You don't need to give details but just the general structure would be helpful.

I also worry that maybe sending an email is unnecessary. I mean how can I be sure?

My only email was when I was mad that I couldn't get T to listen to me. He's made it clear he doesn't trust email for therapy issues, so I partly did it to grab his attention. I was having major sleep issues and he didn't understand how bad it was. It worked, but I also made it clear I don't plan on emailing him again, that it was a one-time thing.

Thanks for the reply!

My T has said I can email her or call if I need to but I just feel like I would be bothering her if I did. I don't even know how to start the email.

You could save it as a draft and come back to it after a break to think it over

I think I'm glad that my T doesn't do email. It seems as if being able to email your T causes more angst than it relieves, if the postings lately are anything to go by.
