Today my t explained to me that one of the probable reasons for my panic attacks and phobias now is because I suffered from dissociative disorder as a child; protection I used for the csa I suffered. I had never known that there might be a cause for my panic attacks other than the fact that I have so many mental problems-I thought it was my biological makeup. This also makes me understand more why I can't remember all of the abuse, only certain incidences.

I couldn't "go there" too much with the panic attacks today because these have been so prevalent lately, but this will give me information to process over the next two weeks.

Also today I thought that t was pretty harsh when she compared my bad choices with those of my father (abuser), Her point was that he was abusive when he drank and used drugs, and that I sometimes make the choice to drink excessively knowing the damage I am possibly causing myself. Anyway, it is food for thought.

Interesting discussion of your symptoms and how they may have evolved as you got older/more sophisticated?

Interesting too about the choices your father acted out and you learned. Definitely food for thought.
