Its the inner world or a baby pre verbal put to words. How he/she learns to make sense of the inner versus outer world. Or as it says on my edition " What he/she thinks, feels experiences"

Dairy? Of A Baby
I am not trying to be a spelling nazi, but this made me picture a baby with those metal milk suckers on its arms and legs- -which is good because I need a laugh today. |

Well, Snuffleupagus, since you're from Sesame Street, I think it's okay and almost expected for you to pay attention to the spelling.
