I have to interview some job candidates at work soon, and I was reading dopey interview questions. So, this may be a dumb question to use towards a poor job seeker but I can turn it around and have fun with it here...

If your T was an animal what would he or she be? Why?

The realists will say "human, what else?" but feel free to humor me.

My T would be a large seal, sea lion maybe. He once described himself as a walrus in his heavier days, after falling on his back and not being able to get up. Anyways, he can be playful and curious but sometimes too forward.

Best. Question. Ever.

This is actually a game I used to play a lot as a kid, figuring out what animals people looked like or acted like or just were. I called it "Everyone Has an Animal."

My T is a hard one to peg. I'd have to resort to something rather... odd. Maybe a binturong; their faces look both inscrutable and imperturbable.

What animal is your T ?

Without hesitation: a turtle (but a really nice one )

When he doesn't wear his glasses, his face really looks like a turtle face.
But the way he react is the key... Well he never reacts; I could tell anything but when I'm done speaking, there's always a delay where nothing happens in him, like a few second where he looks like he's not on earth with me. And then, he comes back, very slowly starting to speak with a soft voice...

So, I vote for a turtle!

I used to share a T with a fellow inpatient and we agreed our T reminded us of a pigeon. Again, with the blank stares!!

Hmm, personality-wise I'd say she's something like a border collie. Loveable and loyal, yet hard-working and bold when needed.

I would say a cat. Mainly because both myself and my T love cats. Also, cats are friendly but in a very subtle way and are very discrete. I think my T is kind of like that too.

Id say mine is like a wild deer. Looks good on the surface. Is quick and agile. But when she sees someone like me (I consider myself to be a lion) she flakes out and runs for the hills!! haha And meanwhile I'm thinking "lunch!!"

The first thing that came to my mind was a cat also, probably one of those very elegant long-haired breeds. Cats display emotion but often it is very subtle - just a tilt of the ears that if you aren't watching closely you miss. They will sit incredibly still, just watching, until something perks their interest enough to cause them to respond.

Probably a giraffe because he's so skinny and tall.

Although in some sessions I think to myself he's a T-Rex. (probably related to the dream I had where he turned into a T-Rex in the middle of our session.)

I'm not sure why but the first animal I thought of when I read this question was Kangaroo. T isn't Australian or anything so I'm not sure why I chose it. I'll have to think about this.

lol epic thread! Love the responses too. What would my Therapist be? hmmm......

Maybe a Swan? Beautiful and serene and confident on the surface and pedalling like mad under the surface (trying to work out how to help me)

Took the quiz for myself, and got a snake. Took it for my T, and got fox. She really is a fox but not in the way the test suggests. *ba-dmp tssss*

This thread is so awesome!! I needed it to make me laugh today!!

My T is a Dolphin. That was one of the first things we talked about when we met because I follow a Native American path. He does as well. It is his Native American name. Mine is Turtle. I get to call him my "Dolphin Daddy" and it fits. He is very smart but also very playful. He is kind but can bite on accident at times. Dolphin fits my T perfectly.

Coo question. My off-the-top-of-my-head response is a teddy bear with glasses because he is kind of cute and cuddly. But on reflection, he is much deeper than that - can be firm, very intelligent, says he has a temper but I've never seen it. So...maybe a black wolf on the inside??!!

Think I'll ask him this the next time I see him

I've been thinking about this all day and all I can come up with is a cat. Calm, composed and a bit sly.
