I had a really good session on Monday. I'm coming up on a year of therapy. So we reviewed where I am at now vs. where I was when I first started. (Which is an awesome comparison since I was massively in crisis when I started.) He also shared a related personal story with me. We talked a little bit about our therapy relationship as well. I feel good about everything.

At any rate, it is pleasant. I am not consumed by anything; I am not overwhelmed. It is just a low-level background happy feeling.

I am posting this because I'm sure in a week I will need to read it again... after my usual "I need to run like HELL" mode kicks back in. I can trust my therapist.

Sometimes these kinds of moments are like one of those Far Side cartoon bubbles pointing to the head, "Change has happened Here." Funny, I don't usually The Change coming; it's like it announces its presence seemingly out of the blue.

Many times we don't realize how far we've come until we look back on where we came from. Just because we haven't "arrived" doesn't mean we haven't made huge progress toward getting there.

Hmm... I recall reading something that makes me suspect that you could be voted "Most Likely To Tip Over in Chair".

we're gonna need another hankster! we will if my GP doesn't give me a z-pac tomorrow - i'm siiiiick! I will probably start singing 'michael row the boat ashore' after my next nap... sorry for the hijack, if I DO fall off my chair, please carry me to the couch and wrap me in a blanket. you can have my organs (with a nice chianti) it says so on my license, also my harmonica... i'm delirious, too many halls cough drops and tea, I freakin hate tea

I am not opposed to changes of topic in my threads. In fact, I encourage the natural evolution of discussions. On that note, feel free to continue any and all tea-induced ranting and raving.

I am sorry that you are sick.

I thought hankster already did tip over in her chair one time? In T's office? Or did I dream it? Feel better soon hanky.

Well done pbutton! Happy for you Sounds like it was a great session. I've been seeing my T for almost a year now, too. Wonder if we'll have a review of sorts..
Thanks for this!

I know I got the cooties from t. last week he gave me a water glass that was absolutely grimy. I wiped it with my kleenex but apparently that didn't sanitize it enough. so yesterday he offered me another glass of water and I said no, that's why I brought coffee, so I don't have to worry about your unwashed glasses. he goes, 'glasses can be washed.' I go, "yes, if they ever ARE actually washed!" T's are supposed to be impervious, right? he laughed for 5 minutes. he's sick too, both our baseball teams sucked eggs all weekend. we tried to hug without touching faces or hands. it was like that 'pass an orange under your neck' game. anybody got a guitar i'm ready for my pneumonia hootenanny. mamma sang bass...
