Well, my T said he cares about me in the context of me going on new meds and he didn't want me to get sick. I..care...about...you. Such beautiful words to my ears.
I know he didn't say I love you, but I'll take it. He cant say he loves me, as I have already told him of my love for him. Even if he does, it wouldn't be wise for him to express that to me. So, I will accept that he cares about me, and use it how I need to, maybe subjectively, maybe twist it a little, or perhaps simply read between the words about his true feelings. Regardless, I feel so warm inside hearing him say this.

I think you have the right attitude. Don't reject what he's offering - enjoy the warm feelings, and accept the relationship for what it is. Just because it isn't full-out romantic love doesn't mean there isn't value in it. You may never know what his true feelings are for you because, as a T, he simply can't express them.
So ... He said he cares - believe him. ![]() |

I just want to add - I think it's a sign of strength in you that you didn't reject what he offered because it wasn't "enough", because you wanted more.

I'm not sure twisting it is really a good plan. I hope you find a way to take it at face value & can find comfort in that.

Well not really twist. More like taking some poetic license. When i told him I loved him he said he would just have to get used to it. Guess thIs what i have to do with my feelings for him.
